Aspiring Filmmaker

Xavier Zitani is a graduate filmmaker with a Bachelors in Film and minor in Digital Multi- Media at University of Central Florida. His work focuses on finding deep emotional themes through character and comedy. He has gained experience in filmmaking, media creating, editing, and screenwriting through both coursework and independent projects.

Xavier has created or worked on 4 short student films, in which he wrote, shot and edited each one’s production. He also contributed to onset storyboarding, prop managing, and audio engineering.

Passionate about visual storytelling, Xavier hopes to continue developing his skills and collaborate on projects that are able to evoke emotion and inspire others through it.

About

I'm Xavier Zitani, a graduate from the University of Central Florida. I started my college career straight out of high school, starting the summer of 2021. Intially, I majored in Digital Media/Game design, being drawn towards the more creative aspects of it and unique ways of storytelling. But as I invested more time into it, I realized the workflow isn't for me, I'm more hands on and I can't sit in one spot for too long. Longing for a creative outlet to write and shape narratives, I found the Film department, immediately falling in love with the craft and the rest is history.

Ever since childhood, I've enjoyed writing and finding new ways to express my inner creativity. Although not every avenue is for me, the art of creation encapsulates me and will forever keep me adjacent to the entertainment industry. Through entering the film major, I found an enjoyment of editing, even going as far as to teach myself the craft outside of school, finding a new way to express myself. Most of my creativity comes from wanting to say something with my work, and trying to find new and interesting ways to convey that narrative. I personally enjoy doing this through comedy, allowing the reader/viewer to become invested through this medium. Currently, I am in the planning stages of multiple personal projects, and finishing up a personal voice reel for myself, so save this website and my contact for frequent updates on my work!
